Alpha terms

These terms cover the MeshRep alpha: the website, the tester portal and the desktop app. "We" and "us" mean the team that runs MeshRep. By creating an account you agree to these terms, so please read them. If you're a consumer, nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.

1. Joining the alpha

• You need to be 18 or over. Places are limited, and we decide which sign-ups to approve.
• One account per person. Give us a real email address and keep your password and authenticator to yourself.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [contact email] if you think someone else has used it.

2. Free access

• The alpha is free for 30 days from when we approve your account. The portal shows your end date. We may extend it, and we'll tell you if we do.
• Nothing is charged automatically. When MeshRep launches as a paid product, we'll email you, and it'll be up to you whether to buy it, on terms we'll show you then.

3. Your license to use MeshRep

• While your access lasts, we give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use MeshRep on your own computers, up to the number of computers your license allows, for your own work or your employer's.
• The app checks its license with our servers. It works offline for a while after each check, but needs to connect now and then to keep working.
• Please don't share your license or account, sell or rent MeshRep, get around its license checks, or copy, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to.
• If you create a team, you're responsible for the people you invite to it.
• MeshRep, the website and everything in them remain ours.

4. Alpha software

MeshRep is unfinished. It will have bugs, and tools may change, move or be removed between builds. Check its output before you rely on it, particularly for parts that will be made, sold or used where a fault could hurt someone. Keep backups of your files. We provide the alpha as it is and as available, and we may pause or change it at any time.

5. Your files and feedback

• Your meshes, scans and models stay yours.
• When you attach files to feedback, you let us use them to investigate and fix the problem you've reported, and we delete them as described in the privacy notice. Only send files you're allowed to share, and nothing confidential that belongs to someone else.
• Feedback and feature ideas help shape MeshRep. You let us use them freely to improve it, without paying you or naming you.

6. Using the site fairly

Don't break the law with MeshRep, try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, overload or attack the site, or scrape it automatically.

7. Ending your access

• You can stop at any time. Email [contact email] and we'll delete your account.
• We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or end the alpha for everyone. Unless there's a good reason not to, we'll tell you first.
• When your access ends, the app stops working once its current offline period runs out.

8. Our liability

• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
• Because the alpha is free and unfinished, we aren't responsible for lost or damaged files or data, lost profits, business or time, or losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen.
• Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything to do with the alpha is limited to $100.

9. Privacy and cookies

Our privacy notice explains what personal data we keep and why, and our cookie policy lists the cookies the site uses.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the alpha develops. We'll change the date above, and tell you in the portal or by email before a significant change takes effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using MeshRep.

11. Your local rights

Wherever you live, you keep any protection your local consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes it away.
